Panomontage Photography by Sandy McLea
Works in South African fine art photographer Sandy McLea’s Photomontage series are composed of many separate images taken from different vantage points in a single scene. The photographs are placed together in a montage, creating a unique representation of the chosen scene with varying dimensions, angles and moments in time. The compositions rely on “Gestalt effect”—our mind’s ability to group and correct a fragmented whole to generate a meaningful perception of the moment. The works create sensations of presence, movement and time and are impressive in both their scale and layered detail.
Each work in Panomontage is part of a 30-edition closed series and is signed and numbered by the artist. McLea’s Panomontage series contains five available works. Pricing and dimensions reflect artwork as framed by the artist, but work may be requested unframed. A narrower artwork size, at only 23” height is also available upon request.
Dimensions: 62” x 31.5”
