“Earth, Wind, and Fire” by Zimbabwean artist Luckmore Joseph is carved from a single piece of white opalstone in Zimbabwe. A one-of-a-kind statement piece ideal for standalone installation on a tabletop in dramatic lighting conditions, the facets and hard edges of this piece catch blades of light in the shifting sun and it seems to morph and gradually change shape throughout the day.
Zimbabawe means “House of Stone” and the Shona people of Zimbabawe have been carving stone for nearly a thousand years. Each of kanju’s Shona sculptures is curated from Zimbabwe and we work with the finest carvers. The themes these sculptures portray represent esteemed values in the Shona culture of family, love, life, and nature.
