“Spheres” are carved by hand by Shona stone sculptors in Zimbabwe using single pieces of purple lepidolite. These perfect spheres are ideal decor to bring variation in color and shape to a bookshelf or cabinet of curiosities. Multifaceted glittering purple striations in the stone lend refined glamor to any tabletop display. Zimbabawe means “House of Stone” and the Shona people of Zimbabawe have been carving stone for nearly a thousand years. Each of kanju’s Shona sculptures is curated from Zimbabwe and we work with the finest carvers. The themes these sculptures portray represent esteemed values in the Shona culture of family, love, life, and nature.
