South African fine art photographer Sandy McLea’s Subsequent Streets series features works that undergo an intensive process before they constructed in a final form that serves to document time. Street scenes are captured on film and composited in undeveloped frames, heated to create bubbles and catalyze an intensifying color shift, and finally McLea digitally scans the treated composition. The artist makes few digital edits before he prints the final flattened image and meticulously shears along curled and bent film edges to create the final framed work.
