Nigerian Nupe Stool

Vintage made of one piece of solid wood stool made by the Nupe people in Nigeria with abstract geometric patterns.

Nupe tribe stools, which are circular and supported by a varying number of feet, were historically presented by grooms to their brides. They were also used as currency objects in local markets and served as symbols of prestige during important meetings.
