Wood platters are hand polished, but not sealed. This means that, while they are food safe, they are naturally absorbent of oils.

This handcrafted African antelope head is perfect for mounting indoors or outdoors and will weather well, slowly changing to a greyish hue if left outdoors. It is hand carved from a single piece of Blue Gum wood, a form of eucalyptus found throughout southeast Africa. The wood species in invasive in South Africa, and systematic removal of the wood protects native woods and old growth forests, making the pieces both beautiful and eco-friendly.
