“Ingoma” (meaning song in Xhosa) is a striking ceramic vessel by South African master ceramicist Andile Dyalvane, co-founder of Imiso Ceramics. Handcrafted in stoneware as part of the Africasso Collection, this piece pays homage to the artistic exchange between Pablo Picasso and African visual heritage. Dyalvane draws from his rural Xhosa roots and the four elemental forces—earth, fire, water, and air—to shape sculptural forms that echo jazz rhythms, scarification markings, and organic life. Joyful and deeply symbolic, Ingoma is both a functional object and a soulful expression of cultural storytelling.
