This soft yet sturdy reversible rug is made from the wool of the Karakul Sheep, which are known for their ability to thrive under harsh conditions. The pattern is inspired by the natural mud cracks that cover the ground of the Karoo Desert in South Africa, the native environment of the prized Karakul sheep. The varying natural, organic cream and gray colors of the wool provide a stunning complexity to it's simplicity, playing with the light of the space it inhabits. Suitable for any time of year, the natural Karakul wool is cool in the summer and warm in the winter while the high lanolin content protects it from stains and flames.
